Dance the Tango with Denise and Thierry Guardiola

Denise

This Argentinean born in Buenos Aires spent her time between successful engineering studies and practising ballet. She took tango lessons in Buenos Aires but couldn't find a suitable partner at the time. She immigrated to France in 2002 during the Argentine crisis. She met Thierry, convinced him to dance tango, and they've been dancing ever since. She has a degree in the history of tango from the University of Buenos Aires and gives talks on Argentine tango around the world. She brings an Argentinian cultural dimension and a feminine touch to her classes.

Thierry

This Frenchman is originally a physical education teacher and has had an international career in fitness (European champion in artistic aerobics, then choreographer of the French team). He discovered Argentine tango ‘out of love’ thanks to Denise, and succumbed to this second passion for tango. His university training and his experience of teaching groups in sport serve him well in his tango teaching. Thierry has worked as a choreographer and tango dancer for the french TV.

They teach an elegant, flowing tango in perfect harmony with the music (Social Tango, Milonga, Waltz and Neo Tango). Their strong point is their pedagogy and teaching; they manage to get their students to dance at an excellent level. Their teaching is structured, progressive and effective.
They regularly take part in exhibitions in France, Europe and Argentina.
Denise and Thierry Guardiola are members of the International Dance Committee CID UNESCO, as well as the Buenos Aires AMBCTA (Asociación de maestros, bailarines y coreógrafos de Tango). Together, they have been offering the very best in pedagogy applied to Argentine tango since 2007 in courses in France and Europe. They are the creators of the Vacances-Tango.com concept and website.
